When Matisen and I started talking about plans for their engagement session, she told me she wanted something non-traditional, romantic, with lots of black and whites. I said say no more…actually I didn’t just say that but I suggested we go somewhere that matched them as a couple and they could just hang out and I’d be a little third wheel on their date. We decided on Frankie’s in Oceanside- a super rad, moody bar. It also happened to be next door to an alley with a gorgeous brick wall with vines growing on it. So of course, after their cocktails, I had to bring them out for some romantic, fun portraits out there. The result is exactly what Matisen was looking for and I’m obsessed with them too!
