I live in Oceanside but I was born and raised in Kailua, Hawaii. Which means, regardless of how long I live on the "mainland", flip-flops will always be slippers, belly-buttons will always be pikos, and kim-chee raw crab will always be delicious.
My husband and I love to surf but I would rather freeze to death than put on a wetsuit. We have the sweetest, sassiest, and everything in between 3-year-old named Scotland. She gives the best snuggles and the best stink eye. Basically, she makes everything better
I'm all about fun, relaxed photos of you and your loved ones. Yes, I'm going to give you a few classic portraits. But for the most part, I like to keep it as natural as possible. A breeze comes and blows a strand of hair in your face-It's staying. You're laughing so hard you get those tiny little smile lines around your eyes- I love them. I love images that looked lived in and like a real moment.
Beyond your final images, I want the session itself to be enjoyable. Every time a client says they had fun at their session(ESPECIALLY the guys), I do a happy dance. It's not about fake smiles and rigid instructions. It's about not rushing, having fun with each other, dumb dad jokes, and letting your kids be themselves.
